As a non-profit organization we depend heavily on financial support from individuals and businesses to sustain and improve the following programs:

• Internationally recognized conservation and research programs for endangered and threatened turtles, shorebirds and horseshoe crabs.
• Summer nature classes for children, Grades K through 6
• Field trips for school children, introducing them to the wonders of  the coastal environment, with detailed lesson plans for their teachers
• Outreach programs to schools throughout the Tri-State area
• Rare field conservation, research experiences for university students from all over the globe, many of whom credit the Wetlands Institute with inspiring them to pursue careers in conservation and science education
• Presentations, tours, and special programs for adults
