Tidepool Shop

The Winter Hours for the Tidepool Shop are:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday:  10:00AM to 4:30PM

Look for our Bargain Table and sales throughout the shop.  We are busy attending Gift Shows to find unique new items for Spring.

Join us for Story Time at 3:00PM every Thursday in the Diller Building, followed by the Institute’s Aquarium Feedings at 3:30PM.

Acclaimed as the “best naturalist’s bookstore on the East Coast” and a member of the Museum Store Association, the Tidepool Shop offers adult and children’s books and a wide variety of items related to a nature theme. “There is something for everyone,” as one visitor stated!

The popular Wings’nWater posters are available for sale. The 2011 poster of a Hooded Merganser entitled, Blue Water Mergansers, by Ron Orlando is prominently displayed and on sale for $20.00. In addition we have on sale signed and numbered prints of the Wetlands Institute and Stone Harbor by William Ressler.

We continually update our collection of the latest in field guide books and popular fold-out guides. Have you seen Cape May resident Richard Crossley’s new ID Guide for Birding book? In it he introduces the concept of reality birding.  New on our shelves is Pete Dunne’s book Arctic Autumn, A Journey to Season’s Edge.  Pete will join us at a March 2, 2012 Covered Dish Dinner.

Our custom items are in great demand. They range from turtle crossing signs and magnets to turtle crossing T-shirts. We have everything terrapin including I Brake for Turtle Bracelets and coolers.

Science gifts await the young naturalist. We have a wide selection of puzzles, craft kits, games and wonderful puppets for children of all ages. Binoculars, fish nets and butterfly nets will catch the eye of the adventurer along with tiny terrapins and chirping Audubon birds. Remember the Tidepool Shop when you need a gift for that special little person in your life.

In keeping with our goal of securing “Made in America” products we have new mugs that have the Wetlands Institute logo, colorful dragonfly pocketbooks, and yummy jars of beach plum jam and local honey to name a few.

Each purchase at the Tidepool Shop supports the Mission and programs of the Wetlands Institute. We are happy to process special requests whenever possible and soon will offer online shopping for your convenience. Meanwhile, we look forward to seeing you at the Institute or we can be reached by telephone or e-mail (tidepool@wetlandsinstitute.org).
