Summer Nature ClassesA fun hands-on way to learn about our natural surroundings at the Jersey Shore. Through discovery, science, games, trips and more we explore a new theme each week, working to promote a desire to preserve the earth's abundant diversity of life.

Preschool, Kindergarten through Grade 6
Explore the marsh and beach with a special focus on the theme of the week. All classes are offered for the grade level students will complete in June 2010. Kindergarten meets at the beach on Wednesdays. Grades 1-6 meet at the beach on Tuesdays, and have a Thursday field trip, some with additional costs.

The Junior Naturalist Experience
A one-week program for students completing grades 7, 8 or 9 by June 2010.
Explore the coastal environment. Meet professionals in the field of science and see what they’re doing to protect the planet. Discover how much you can learn when you get a little muddy.

Join the Wetlands Institute research interns to discover firsthand what they are studying. Participate in actual research projects, then present your findings at the end of the week.

Kayak Kamp

Grades 6 - 12
Advanced lessons for the serious paddler! Learn to paddle in all
conditions and start developing skills to be an expert. You’ll learn
rescue techniques, go on longer trips to places our regular kayak
tours don’t go, play kayak polo, and more. Offered in Stone Harbor and Ocean City.
