Festival Kick Off Auction & Cocktail Party
Friday, September 19, 2008. Live auction plus hundreds of silent auction items. Choose from original art, carvings, golf, travel, fine dining, clothing and household items.

Retriever Demonstrations - Labradors demonstrate their skills twice a day to the delight of all. Watch the dogs leap into the water to retrieve their "ducks."

Bird Walks - Cape May County is rated as one of the top ten birding spots. Don't miss this opportunity to view the largest number of migrating shore birds in the world with an experienced ornithologist. Bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from the Institute.

Boat Cruises - Foray into the bay behind the barrier island with a marsh ecologist aboard the pontoon boat, Skimmer. Watch for migrating birds, fiddler crabs or the only turtle in our waters, the diamondback terrapin. $20 per person - must have reservation.

Kayaking - Enjoy the beauty of the wetlands as the season changes from summer to autumn while paddling in the bays and creeks of Stone Harbor. Kayaks and guide provided. Novices welcome - $40 per person - must have reservation.

Children's Activities - Children learn about nature the fun way. Visit the aquarium exhibits, touch tank and live animals. Experience exciting interactive environmental games and crafts related to the marsh.

Food Court - Bounty from land and sea. Our food vendors capture the essence of Southern Jersey cuisine featuring cold lobster and shrimp, crab cakes, soft shell crabs, Bar-B-Q and Hot Dog & Pepsi Bar.
