Visit us before the summer season ends and help us make history: On September 8, we'll embark on a new era to Reimagine The Wetlands Institute. While we are not open for public programs, please visit The Wetlands Institute grounds before we temporarily close our grounds to the public on September 13.

We elevating the Salt Marsh Trail to restore habitat, and transform our campus into a living ecosystem! After we finish restoring the marsh, we plan to construct a new facility to support our work into the future.

On November 7, we’ll reopen at the New Jersey Coastal Conservation Center (formerly the Cape May Bird Observatory), 600 North Delsea Drive in nearby Cape May Court House. Our fall/winter hours will be 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Saturdays and Sundays.

Note: The Wetlands Institute is a natural conservation area where outside animals would be a disturbance to local wildlife that inhabits this area. Because of this, pets are not allowed inside Institute buildings or outside on Institute property, including the Salt Marsh Trail, elevated walkway, and dock. Service dogs are welcome as they have been trained to not react to other animals.
