Scholarship Application Guidelines

Mission:  The mission of The Wetlands Institute is to promote appreciation, understanding and stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, education, and conservation.

Eligibility:  Eligibility for the scholarship program is open to all schools, with schools in Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Atlantic, Burlington, and Ocean Counties receiving priority. Additional priority will be given to schools that demonstrate high financial and/or student need.  A maximum of two (2) applications per school will be considered per academic school year.  Schools that receive successfully funded scholarship applications will need to participate in the program during the academic school year during which the funds were granted or otherwise forfeit the scholarship monies.

Academic School Year 2020-2021 Deadlines:

Deadline for Participation Fall 2020:  May 15, 2020
Notification of Acceptance:  June 2020
Programs Occur:  September – November 2020

Deadline for Participation Winter 2020-2021:  October 16, 2020 
Winter Participation Applies to Traveling Environmental Education Programs Only!
Notification of Acceptance:  November 2020
Programs Occur:  December 2020 – March 2021

Deadline for Participation Spring 2021:  December 17, 2020 
Notification of Acceptance:  January 2021
Programs Occur:  April – June 2021
