Scholarship Application Guidelines

Mission:  The mission of The Wetlands Institute is to promote appreciation, understanding and stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, education and conservation.

Eligibility:  Eligibility for the scholarship program is open to schools in Cape May, Cumberland, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Atlantic, Burlington and Ocean Counties.  Priority will be given to schools that demonstrate high financial and/or student need.  A maximum of two (2) applications per school will be considered per academic school year.  Schools that receive successfully funded scholarship applications will need to participate in the program during the academic school year during which the funds were granted or otherwise forfeit the scholarship monies.

Academic School Year 2019-2020 Deadlines:

Deadline for Participation Fall 2019:  May 17, 2019 (Unfortunately, this deadline has passed.)
Notification of Acceptance:  June 2019
Programs Occur:  September – November 2019

Deadline for Participation Winter 2019-2020:  October 18, 2019
Winter Participation Applies to Traveling Environmental Education Programs Only!
Notification of Acceptance:  November 2019
Programs Occur:  December 2019 – March 2020

Deadline for Participation Spring 2020:  December 13, 2019
Notification of Acceptance:  January 2020
Programs Occur:  April – June 2020
