Dear Friends;
Like you, we are all just beginning to find our footing in this uncertain time. The Wetlands Institute Board of Directors and Staff hope that you and everyone in your family are staying healthy and well during this unprecedented situation in our lives.
If you haven’t already done so, and it’s allowable where you are, spend some time outside. Being in nature is good for your mind, body, and spirit. Breathe some fresh air, take a walk on a beach, wander through a nearby park or woods, or take a quiet stroll along a tree-lined street to reflect on nature’s beauty. While the Institute and grounds are closed, check out our remote marsh cameras to connect with the majesty of the meadows as the marsh reawakens from its winter slumber. Every day, the marsh is a bit greener and more and more birds are returning. We invite you to share images and stories of your time outside on our Facebook page or add the hashtag #wetlandsconnection to your own posts – your connections can help lift someone else’s spirits too.
Through it all, all of us at The Wetlands Institute are committed to continuing our work to protect and preserve our marshes and coastal ecosystems and all of their inhabitants. While our staff are currently working from their respective homes, we are all carrying on our important work and caring for our animals.
We are a strong organization, with many great friends and supporters and together, we will get through this. Please stay healthy and well.
