Ocean Galleries of Stone Harbor partners with Wyland for artwork donation to support coastal preservation.
Please join us at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 27, 2011 as Wyland tours the Wetlands Institute. Additionally, a special fundraiser event for the Institute will be held on Saturday, May 28 at 5:30 PM. Wyland has personally selected a painting, “Faster Higher Stronger”, to be framed by Ocean Galleries and auctioned at the event, with all proceeds benefiting the Wetlands Institute.
WHAT: One Ocean, One Planet, One Artist – The art exhibition features over 100 pieces of Wyland artwork, including bronze sculptures, original paintings, drawings, and limited-edition prints, which are available for acquisition.
WHO: Wyland is the world’s premier marine life artist. In addition to being an acclaimed painter and sculptor, Wyland is an underwater explorer, photographer, filmmaker, and educator who traveled the farthest reaches of the globe for more than 30 years, capturing the raw power and beauty of the aquatic universe. He is an ardent conservationist; the Wyland Foundation is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the world’s ocean, waterways and marine life.
