Wings ‘n Water Festival

In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Wings ‘n Water Festival, we have decided to make some major changes to this annual event.  The biggest change…the date!
For the past 29 years, the Wings ‘n Water Festival has been held on the third weekend of September.  In hopes of reaching a larger audience, and an entirely new demographic, the dates have been shifted to July.

 30th Annual Wings ‘n Water Festival – July 2012 Dates
Thursday, July 12th
Friday, July 13th
Benefit Auction Party on Saturday, July 14th

In addition, the date for the Institute’s annual summer gala, the Sunset Soiree, has been scheduled for Saturday, August 25th, 2012.

Both the Festival and the Wetlands Institute are experiencing changes under the leadership of new Executive Director, Dr. Lenore Tedesco.  Tedesco’s fresh insight is allowing for a virtual re-birth of the Festival as well as many Institute initiatives.

The Festival is a family fun “Celebration of the Coast”. Meet nationally acclaimed artists, carvers, quilters, crafters and photographers. Talk with them, buy from them and learn from a multitude of demonstrations, guided walks and hands on encounters. Wings ‘n Water posters are available in the Tidepool Museum Shop.
