Your gift will be used to fund research and Diamondback Terrapin conservation activities at The Wetlands Institute, including supplies and travel for road patrols and population surveys; hatching, head-starting, and releasing baby terrapins; rehabilitating injured terrapins; and educational programs.

How will your donation be used?
Your donation will be used to fund horseshoe crab conservation activities at The Wetlands Institute, such as spawning surveys, reTURN the Favor program activities, aquaculture maintenance, and outreach and conservation initiatives and materials.
Adopt an Oystercatcher
How will your donation be used?
Your donation will be used to fund research and conservation activities through our Coastal Birds Program at The Wetlands Institute, such as American Oystercatcher bands and equipment, field research, and outreach and conservation initiatives and materials.

a Terrapin$25 Adopt an Egg: A digital adoption certificate, a digital picture of a terrapin, our annual terrapin e-newsletter.
$50 Adopt a Hatchling*: All of the above, plus a special adoption sticker, recognition in our annual terrapin e-newsletter, and the opportunity to help release a head starter at a special terrapin release event during the summer, which includes free general admission on this summer release date.
$150 Adopt a Headstarter*: All of the above, plus an “I Brake for Turtles” magnet, or a DBT car magnet, a DBT tote bag, and information about the background and activities of an individual tagged terrapin.
$500 Adopt a Terrapin Nest*: All of the above, plus a DBT enamel pin or turtle plush toy, and a private terrapin release of 8-10 hatchling terrapins for your group (limited to 6 participants, date and time worked out with each adopter).

a Horseshoe Crab- $25 Adopt HSC Eggs: A digital adoption certificate, a digital picture of a horseshoe crab, and our annual HSC e-newsletter.
- $50 Adopt a Juvenile HSC: All of the above, plus a special adoption sticker, recognition in our annual e-newsletter, and two TWI admission passes.
- $150 Adopt an HSC Adult: All of the above, plus an HSC car magnet, an HSC tote bag, and an invitation for two participants to join an HSC survey.*
- $500 Adopt an HSC Pair: All of the above, plus an HSC enamel pin or an HSC plush toy, and an educational beach walk or private spawning survey for your group with our biologists in May – July. (limited to 6 participants, date and time worked out with each adopter)

an American Oystercatcher- $25 Adopt an AMOY Egg: A digital adoption certificate, a digital picture of an oystercatcher, and our annual AMOY e-newsletter.
$50 Adopt an AMOY Chick: All of the above, plus a special AMOY sticker, recognition in our annual AMOY e-newsletter, and two TWI admission passes for your contribution.
$150 Adopt a Banded AMOY: All of the above, plus an AMOY car magnet, an AMOY tote bag, information about the background of an individual banded oystercatcher, and an invitation for two participants to a group beach walk to observe AMOY (pick from pre-scheduled dates).
$500 Adopt an AMOY Pair: All of the above, plus an AMOY enamel pin or 5×8 AMOY blank-page notebook, and private AMOY band resight survey (limited to 6 participants, date and time worked out with each adopter).
* This level includes a release event. Two dates each year will be announced in Terrapin Times, a newsletter for terrapin adopters. RSVP is required to attend.
