Wetlands Institute Furthers Sustainability Initiatives

In an effort to expand its sustainability initiatives and green its footprint, the Wetlands Institute has contracted to install an additional solar array on the Institute’s roof. The new installation will include an additional 49 panels, and is projected to generate almost 12 kilowatts of power.

World renowned author and scientist, Dr. Ellen Prager, is scheduled to present at the Wetlands Institute on Wednesday, July 18th. Prager is a marine scientist and author of numerous popular science and children’s books.

ASMFC Horseshoe Crab Board Approves Addendum VII

The Commission’s Horseshoe Crab Management Board has approved Addendum VII. The Addendum implements the Adaptive Resource Management Framework, which incorporates both shorebird and horseshoe crab abundance levels to set optimized horseshoe crab harvest levels for the Delaware Bay area.
